We have all heard of the “possible side effects” of medications. Usually if I bring it up I get a standard “but drugs save lives”. I feel that you can always find an safe alternative that builds health, but people still take drugs and feel that they should,
The article below talks about the “minor side effects” and should be read by anyone who wants to take a drug. Actually, they should also read about the drug they want to take on www.drugs.com. It has the pharmaceutical companies literature and you can make an informed decision.
I was reading a medical book from the mid 1800s. It was interesting to see the use of herbs and natural remedies. I do know that in 1880s the pharmaceutical companies started producing drugs in the laboratory and that it contained petroleum products.
Yes, really. Scientists discovered “petrochemicals” and the ability to create all kinds of chemicals from oil.
I also know that in 1920, in order to “standardize” the medical schools, a report was done and what happened was the standard and approved medical procedures where pharmaceutical drugs & surgery.
How did “antibiotics” so freely dispensed come about?
Well, Alexander Fleming, Scottish physician, biologist, pharmacologist and botanist returned from holiday on September 3, 1928, he looked at his petri dishes containing colonies of Staphylococcus, bacteria that cause boils, sore throats and abscesses He found something unusual on one dish. It was dotted with colonies, save for one area where some mold was growing. The zone immediately around the mold (later identified as a rare strain of Penicillium notatum) was clear, the mold had secreted something that inhibited bacterial growth. He found it was capable of killing a wide range of harmful bacteria. And thus, Penicillan was created. It was not till 1941 that it was developed enough to be used on a human.
It is now 76 years later, do we use anything other than mold, which is a type of fungus actually, and ….. well, the basis of the “modern” day antibiotics is still mold.
Now, even the CDC is telling people to look for fungus when the body is not getting well through standard medical treatment.
So, do you take these chemical antibiotics/mold or do you find something natural. There is a host of things you could be taking.
Really quick – how many of you are taking any kind of prescription or over-the-counter medication right now? If you’re a woman, there’s a good chance you’re overdosing. And depending on the medicine, guys, you may be at risk, as well.
A few years ago, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced thatwomen taking the popular sleep drug, Ambien, should cut their dose by half.It became the first and only drug in America that has different doses for men versus women.
